Rogla has once again proved that it is an experienced organizer of international snowboarding competitions at the highest level

Rogla has many years of experience in organizing international snowboard competitions at the highest level, as in addition to the 2016 FIS Junior World Championship and numerous European Cups, it has hosted the FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup in parallel giant slalom since 2013.
Last week, Rogla wasthe center of alpine snowboarding. The world’s best snowboarders competed on the Jasa ski slope on March 1st and 2nd at the FIS Snowboard Alpine Word Championship and on March 6th at the FIS Snowboard Alpine Word Cup.
Although this year’s competitions, due to the coronavirus epidemic and measures to prevent its spread, will be held according to changed protocols – especially without fans along the track and the finish arena – entry into the society of the world alpine snowboard elite will be possible via television, social networks and other modern communication channels.
We follow the reactions of competitors, coaches and the media with pride and joy, as the successful organization of major international competitions strengthens the reputation of Unitur and it is also a great opportunity for growth in the visibility of Rogla and Terme Zreče in Slovenia and abroad.
First of all, we would like to thank Unitur’s employees, who with their knowledge, hard work and sacrifice managed – in extremely demanding conditions – to justify the trust of the International Ski Federation, the Ski Association of Slovenia and the professional public.
We also sincerely thank the co-organizers (Committee for snowboarding at the Ski Association of Slovenia and Snowboard Club Rogla) and sponsors (Slovenian Tourist Board, companies Oplast, Unior and Petrol and the Municipality of Zreče) and all partners and supporters who supported our efforts and recognized the international alpine snowboarding competitions on Rogla as an excellent opportunity for presentation to the domestic and international public.
